My hearts belongs in Thailand

Day 1:
so we have been traveling for 3 days, i woke up Tuesday slept for an hour got on a plane on Wednesday at 2 am and now I'm in Phuket Thailand but its 1 am Friday morning so I'm not so sure where Thursday went but its Friday apparently.

so the first thing that welcomes me and Maddie into our wonderful room is a cockroach the size of both of my big toes put together.. then we have the most wonderful spider web that drapes across our entire bathroom, after standing naked outside our shower for 30 minutes trying to get the water somewhere between scalding and freezing i gave up and took a coldish shower.

drove to BANTHAMTHONGLANG school and this is where my soul became accustom to living. and loving. and never leaving.

I'm a little overwhelmed at this point! A) because they all look like the same kid to me and B) because i cant believe I'm actually in Thailand!!

we did the cupid shuffle got a buddy, my buddy well her name was noon, how i know this well its definitely not from my Thai speaking skills, because I'm pretty sure i spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to say Kuhn chi arai turns out, i couldn't say it, then turns out she can say "my name is noon" in English. that's embarrassing.

Maddie and pra, i promise the kids don't hate us as much as they look like they do in the pictures.

Noon was attached to my hand or my waist the whole day after she warmed up to me of course she has a smile that melts your heart, we played games forever tried a whole ton of interesting foods, SOME good, ALOT not so good.

we were laughed by 12 year olds at our attempt to speak Thai... got taught Thai dancing.. were not so good. its very delicate dainty and feminine.. but beautiful. met some crazy 4 year olds. Tasmanian devils in training. its like a swarm of ... something... toddlers? yeah you walk past the door and instantly have 12 stuck to you!

 and after my most enormous hug from noony we left to hike to the top of mount Everest Thailand version of course. 900 steps up steep jungle matter, take your shoes off. 900 steps more into a a sparkling cave !! beautiful views !! i seriously love it here its gorgeous!! it started pouring on us on the way down didn't make much difference though considering we were sweating bucket loads. i thought it was scary climbing up? fail . its nothing compared to climbing down.

and then home .. well at least what we called home for 3 weeks. where we learned how to say poop in Thai, ate some more rice. swam in a pool. showered, did you know that even your elbows sweat in Thailand?

Finally Back

Finally back from the most amazing experience of my life, Thailand !

my sleep schedule is way off, but I'm most grateful for: my dishwasher, meals that don't include rice, doors, AC, my dentist, my religion, and my country .

my heart will forever reside in Thailand with my rugrats and the beauty  and love that it resonates!

Valor Day 2:

Today is Monday, and we basically layed out, from 10 a.m until 4 p.m,

we swam a little bit, and went on the water slide and just played and laughed all stinkin day!

that's what happens when you have all girls!!

we all got pretty tan! me exclusively, i did get a little burn though, owe.

 We ran into Josip when we were on our way to dinner. who we actually met on the Splendor last year in Long Beach CA, what are the chances that he has already been on two other ships in between now and then, and we now run into him, a year later across the country in Miami! CRAZY! anyhow he is great!

after our reunion! we went to dinner! and then to the comedy club! and we laughed so hard!

 amazing chilled strawberry soup, and my Mexican, rice and veggies, with a big vegetarian tamale, i wasn't the biggest fan, but it helped me save room for desert, and my caramel apple tort.

 Maddie is a CornDog, not a hot dog in a corn breading, but like a corny person, and then a dog, mixed together thus...

 I do love her very much though.

 Tomorrow is our first day at port! the Cayman Islands!

Valor day 1:

SO i basically feel as if i have fallen off the face of the earth, but sadly enough, i haven't.

as for our cruise this year, it consisted of: red eyes, morphed weekends. way too much food. plenty of sun, nice tan lines, salt water, much laughter, and the the common vacation followed dread of knowing you gained weight, and knowing you have to go back home, to life, and stress, and you cant just lay out and listen to Jamaican music all day, for the rest of your life, though i wish i could.

so before the trip i got:

New hair and new shoes

and the Vaca begins.

Headed to Georgia, at 12 a.m Saturday morning

I felt really bad for the people sitting within 20 feet of us.

I now want to move to Atlanta Georgia,

My reasoning:

A.) it was SO green and pretty,

B.) there was SO much diversity.

Saturday was long and confusing, considering we landed in in Georgia at 4:00 a.m then got on another plane at 6:00 a.m headed to Miami, and then got in around 8. We then went to the hotel
and slept. and slept. and slept.

and somehow it turned into Sunday and we boarded our ship the Carnival, Valor.

we instantly ate.

i know it looks like disgusting amounts of food..

and that's because it is. but i can assure you i didn't eat it all.

 The Carnival glory was docked behind us, which is the ship we went on in 2006!

my favorite so far will always be the Carnival Splendor though, which was last years.

Mom and J she is growing up so fast! they are both so beautiful.

A.) because i was trying something new every night, something i would never normally try. why not? take a crazy chance.

 yes i know those were lyrics to a Hilary Duff song... but it was a swell innuendo.

 B.) because i like taking pictures.

So here is my Indian dinner, tofu sauce, beans some pitta bread thing with vegetables in it, a salsa, and some chip bread paper type idea. and of course the most beautiful thing on Gods Green Earth, CHOCOLATE MELTING CAKE.

and in the process of digesting all this food. we explored the ship.

followed by a dance show.

and it will forever be my goal to dance on a ship one day[:

Thailand.

I'M SO EXCITED!

Thailand is quickly approaching! still months away and yet it feels like its right here!!

I have walked around campus this entire week with the biggest Grin on my face. my excitement is to much to contain and it shows!

i got my itinerary for all of our activities and traveling! holy sheesh! I'm so excited!

End Service Trip

everyone goes home except a few of us!

Time to play !

Wednesday were leaving Phuket to fly to Bangkok.

once we get to Bangkok we may rent a beach house and play on the beach, and well go to a friends house who lives in Bangkok.

she'll show us the real way of life in Thailand.

then the sad day comes when its time to go home...
